If that's the case, it's ultimately tragic in that she ended up eating human meat later anyway, assuming The Lady is human at all. After all, she already saw The Janitor wrapping humans up in body-bags to send up to the chefs, the same body-bags that are hanging in the locker where they get the meat for the sausages.
So even if it doesn't bother them while they're doing their jobs, it's pretty hard to keep up with a moving object while wearing a mask.
